Cream Tea & Craft - The Art of Drawing with Tamsin Dearing
Yarn and Create is a new series of afternoon events hosted by Lilyboo Lostwithiel.
Spend the afternoon in the Glasshouse with artist Tamsin Dearing. Tamsin will share her love of portraiture and drawing, and showcase how the simplest of tools can create realistic artworks through to sketched nature studies. Professional artist, Tamsin specialises in pencil, coloured pencil, pastel and charcoal drawing. And more recently has developed a passion for en plein air sketching which also incorporates watercolour and pen work. As well as learning about the life of a Cornish professional artist, Tamsin will teach you the foundations of pencil drawing with an interactive demonstration focused on shading.
Tamsin will be joining us for an hour talk with will include a small demonstration about shading within your work.
We will then enjoy a cream tea and receive a lovely gift of your own sketch book and pencils ready to use on the day if you wish.
The last part of the day is a great time to have a go at your own sketching or share some of your own work.
