FAQs

From our rules on dogs to arranging deliveries, we have answers to all the questions we’re asked the most. But if you don’t find what you’re looking for, just get in touch.

Can I bring dogs to the nursery?

We welcome dogs to the nursery on a lead at all times, but there are a few restrictions.

Dogs are allowed in the main entrance, glasshouse, cafe, nursery and woodland terrace and tipi.

Dogs are not allowed in the Orangery, main shop and play garden, only guide and assistance dogs.

For any queries during your visit, please ask a member of our team.

Can I reserve a table?

Tables can be reserved in The Orangery, please go to Book a Table or the Eat & Drink section on the website.

Tables cannot be reserved in the Cafe but if there is a wait, we offer a virtual queuing system which allows you to browse and enjoy the nursery and gardens while you wait for your table.

Afternoon Teas must be booked and paid for at least 24 hours in advance. These are served in The Orangery.

We also offer a take away service from the shepherd hut on the Woodland Terrace, with tables and chairs either in the Tipi or the terrace, with views across to Restormel Castle.

Do you offer mail order?

We don’t offer a full mail order service, but we can arrange for certain purchased items to be delivered locally to your address on an individual basis. Please call us for further information or a quote.

Is there an alternative route to the nursery rather than the narrow lane from Lostwithiel?

Yes, you can approach the nursery from the northerly direction following the signs off the A380 after West Taphouse or from the Respryn and Lanhydrock direction.

Can I check your current stock of certain plants?

Yes, you can use our plant finder facility to see what's available. If stock levels are less than five items, we recommend you call ahead so that we can reserve these for you.

Do you offer a delivery service?

We have a delivery partner that provides a comprehensive service to all areas of Cornwall and west Devon. Please get in touch if you'd like more information.

How long is the walk to Restormel Castle?

The Restormel trail is approximately 40 minutes each way, and we have a guide map pointing out areas of interest along the way.
