Spring into action this April

Nature has a great way of telling us when it is time to get gardening and after months of winter planning, it's time to get stuck in.

With lighter and longer days ahead and the soil warming up, its time to get planting. We have an abundance of beautiful and quality plants to suit all gardens and budgets and are happy to offer free, expert and friendly advice.

Whether you have a cottage garden or prefer a more contemporary feel, we have lots of new season trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials arriving weekly at the nursery.

As always, we have an extensive selection of Rhododendrons, all bursting into flower and a perfect choice for Cornish gardens. The crab apple trees and ornamental cherries are also in flower now, lifting our hearts with their spectacular blossom. If you have a smaller gap to fill, look for our huge range of starter perennials.

For all our allotmenteers out there, we are pleased to announce that our Grow Your Own section is now full to the brim with fresh herbs, vegetable plants and soft fruit. Be sure to visit our brand new Grow Your Own greenhouse for your locally-grown tomato and chilli plants.

If houseplants are more your thing, our glasshouse is stuffed full with the weird and wonderful, including caudex plants, palms, succulents and cacti, orchids and stunning foliage plants to suit every taste and budget. For a Mediterranean feel, look out for the stunning bougainvillea that arrived this week or if you'd prefer a taste if Hawaii in your home, look for Brighamia insignis, the Hawaiian palm.
