Mock orange, Philadelphus, is a popular, beautiful upright compact shrub, grown for its abundance of white blooms that fill the air with fragrance in late-spring and summer. It has double creamy-white flowers to 4cm in width that grow in small clusters.
This plant is particularly well suited to being grown in a large container close to a seating area where the blooms and fragrance can be enjoyed or in the middle of a border to give you a nice amount of height and spread. For the best results grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. To keep this plant in shape, prune on old flowering wood.
