Parrotia persica AGM
Persian Ironwood. Large deciduous shrub or small tree with attractive flaking bark. Flowers consist of clusters of crimson stamens and appear in spring. One of the best plants for autumn colour. Any soil in sun or shade. Height 2-2½m.
