Deciduous shrub to about 1.5m. Flowers prolifically in early summer, almost hiding the foliage. Flowers open from purple striped buds to almost white with pink-purple reverse. An outstanding early-flowering hybrid between D. longifolia ‘Veitchii’ and D. × hybrida ‘Magicien’, raised by Alf Alford of Hilliers. Easy in any good soil, in sun or part shade.
