Prumnopitys taxifolia.
New Zealand endemic conifer. Grows to 25m in NZ. Leaves on mature growth 10-15mm long, dark green. Fruits berry-like, violet-purple. Juvenile growth divaricate and shrubby with smaller brownish leaves. Old trees round headed and spreading. There appear to be few records of its growth in the UK; it reached 5 feet at Castlewellan.
