Camellia 'Cara Mia' (japonica).
Vigorous,upright evergreen shrub. Flowers semi-double, blush pink fading to pink at the centre,with gold stamens amongst the petals. Early season. Height 2½m.

Pot size: 2 litre. Height now: 40-50cm Soil: Acidic, moisture retentive. Position: Ideally part shade, full sun if soil conditions are good. Reasonable tolerance of coastal conditions. Growth rate: 20-30cm a year. Flowering period: 4-6 weeks in spring. Hardiness: Hardy, though flowers will be damaged by frost.
